New in 2018: An innovative concept store in the heart of the Salon du Végétalinnovative_concept

What if the florist’s store were reinvented? Closer to the customer, more artisanal, more authentic, more in step with the consumer’s idea of nature? What does the ideal store look like in 2020?
For the 33rd Salon du Végétal, our team asked trends consultancy Chlorosphère to come up with a new store model for French florists. This real-life tool, totally in step with current and future trends in neighbourhood retail, is designed especially for you.
A white-label brand to give you inspiration. Many of you have been talking about it on social networks and at trade fairs, so here is the first ever fictitious shop… for you to copy! No brand, message or franchise is behind this innovative concept. Take inspiration, copy it, take photographs!
The concept: the flower bar. Paying tribute to craftsmanship while leaving the customer free to choose is the underlying principle of this store. On the same principle as an ice-cream or pastry shop, the customer makes their selection (guided by suggestions from the florist) and the florist then creates an original arrangement to the customer’s taste.

2 full days of floral demonstrations

Tuesday and Thursday will be marked out for creativity thanks to the superb floral demonstrations on this year’s theme of “Ultra-violet”, the PantoneTM colour of 2018. Florists will put all their art to work to lay on an impressive show for the visitors that always flock to admire.

Bouquets for Today contest

The Bouquets d’Aujourd’hui contest returns in 2018! The battle of the florists returns this year, in response to huge demand from all the floristry professionals. Candidates will express their art in line with the 2018 overall theme of the fair: “Naturally friendly!”
On the program: 4 sessions of 5 candidates taking turns throughout Wednesday, with prizes presented in the evening.

Conferences for florists and stores

To provide florists with useful information on developing their retail outlets, the Salon du Végétal invites contributions from experts on themes relating to sales, customer relations, merchandising, new product ranges, etc. Short conferences (30-45 minutes) to offer concrete, useful solutions.

Green Boutique contest for innovative stores

The Salon du Végétal is partnering the new Green Boutique contest launched by Garden_FabLab. The contest is intended to promote bold, sensible and sustainable commercial initiatives to help (re)connect city dwellers with the green world in metropolitan France. The winner store will be chosen by a panel made up of leading figures in the worlds of decoration and gardens. The prize will be awarded at the Salon du Végétal, to be held in Nantes from 19 to 21 June 2018.
